4 x 1000m Mixed Relay

  • Team-based open water racing with four swimmers per club team, each completing a leg.

  • Mixed by design with a mandatory 2 female / 2 male team format.

  • Visible exchanges at the pontoon create , momentum and club atmosphere.

3km Knockout Sprint

  • Elimination racing over a 500m loop with heat, semi-final and final rounds.

  • Built for 14–17 swimmers who want fast, aggressive, tactical racing.

  • Every lap matters as the field is cut round by round until only the finalists remain.

Staggered Start Time Trial – Individual

  • A non-mass-start race format where swimmers start one by one at 30-second intervals.

  • Age-appropriate distances with 1500m for ages 11–13 and 3km for ages 14–17.

  • Looped 500m laps with Aussie exits bring swimmers repeatedly back into view for coaches and supporters.

Staggered Start Time Trial – Team

  • A team-based 3km time trial raced by teams of three over six 500m laps.

  • Seeded team starts create chase dynamics, visible racing and sustained club  tension.

  • Team time is taken from the last swimmer home, rewarding depth, balance and collective strength.
